Which size of Super Shields should I get?
It is difficult for a mom to guess which size will work best for her. Pumpin' Pal shields work completely different than standard shields. Super Shields are tapered and so, along with size of breast and nipple, a lot depends on the elasticity of a mom’s tissue which is hard to measure. We have moms that use all 3 sizes at different times of the day.....we have moms that have changed from one size to the next to the next as their body changes over time after delivery.....we have moms that can only use one size. The reason we suggest a set of three sizes is so you have what you need when you need it. Many moms have traded off the size they aren’t using one day and find they need it the next. We would make more revenue promoting them separately (like most pump companies do) so we aren’t trying to up sell our customers, just trying to look out for them.

Essential for working and pumping moms
By
Seriously, my husband and I were talking about this the other day. We were wondering why pump companies don't just make flanges shaped this way to begin with? These flanges are so much more comfortable and I saw a reduction in clogged ducts almost right away. The only thing I wish I had some differently was buy just the medium size. Gut told me I wouldn't use the other sizes but the size guide recommends buying all three because you may use them all at different times. That may be true for other women but I only use the one and it turns out I didn't need to spend the extra money.

Pumping moms

Immediately helped resolve several clogged ducts I had. Had gotten mastitis 2x before I discovered these flanges...they should be how ALL flanges are made. I happen to fit the small (pink silicone) flange, and I think that all flanges should be made out of silicone. The other plastic ones hurt my nipple skin and when you are exclusively pumping because baby can't nurse properly for whatever reason these are a MUST HAVE!

Thank Heaven!!

Our new baby was having trouble latching which meant sore bleeding nipples for my daughter. She would not be able to pump because of the hard plastic suction cups on her breast pump but for your soft silicone ones. They have been life savers!

Shipping is fast! Just wish I had tracking info. As parent, it's hard to plan ahead and know what we need, so as things come up and we need something in a pinch, it would be great to track a delivery
Our responseThanks for your review--we really appreciate it. We email tracking as each order ships. Perhaps your email went into a spam folder. If you have questions about tracking, you're always welcome to call us at 888-624-4327 or email customerservice@mommygear.com

Pumpin' Pal Super Shields
Didn't work for me
By
I was looking for something like the Ameda flexishield that I could use with my Medela pump. I have small nipples and the flexishield was really helpful when I used the Ameda pumps. I have read good things about the Pumpin' Pals, and the small sizes are made out of silicon, so I thought they might work. But the silicon is thick and unyielding. It doesn't help stimulate my areola like the flexishield, and the angle of the flanges actually caused me to leak MORE milk and made me feel like I had to lean forward farther, contrary to the purpose of the angled flange. I think if you have really elastic nipples, this might not be a problem for you, but mine didn't get pulled over the angled lip of the flange, causing the milk to pool there and then spill out when I broke the seal.
