I want to share some bittersweet news with you...our beloved La Leche League of Ligonier founder, Suzanne Stratford, will soon be moving back to her home state of Washington. While I know that this is absolutely a happy move for her family, we will miss her greatly. She has been a source of inspiration in our community and has founded a thriving and vibrant group. She mentored and trained several La Leche League Leader applicants and they have gone on to start their own groups in Meadville & Johnstown. Her quiet, strong presence has been a comfort to many of us during our journey through motherhood. Her beautiful daughters Carolyn & Isabel have been a lovely addition to our meetings and a shining example to our little ones. Please join us at our next meeting—Monday 4/2/12—from 10:00 a.m. to Noon as we visit with Suzanne & her girls to send them off on their move with all our good wishes. This will be our regular meeting, so any breastfeeding questions or issues that you are having are always welcome. But instead of a regular topic we will treat this as a time to socialize and enjoy our friends. We also will have some special snacks to celebrate! If you are not able to make the meeting, please feel free to send your wishes to me and I’ll make sure that Suzanne gets them. Please also pass this invitation along to anyone that you think might want to come to see Suzanne off. The more the merrier! We meet in the downstairs of Mommy Gear,
just off the Diamond in Ligonier at 107 S. St. Clair St. Ligonier PA 15658. Directions From Pittsburgh or Johnstown: - Follow Rt. 30 to Ligonie
- At the light at Fort Ligonier/Get Go Station, turn onto Rt. 711 North/Market Street
- At the Gazebo (Ligonier Diamond) take the first right onto East Main St.
- Make the first right onto S. St. Clair St. at the VFW & Ivy's Cafe
- Mommy Gear is located 1/2 way down on the right side at # 107
- Metered street parking is available, and a municipal parking lot is around the corner on East Loyalhanna Street (opposite Fort Ligonier).
